Affordability
For more than 100 years, Saint Thomas Choir School has been committed to providing a transformational experience to promising boys from all social and economic backgrounds. Our goal is to make a Saint Thomas Choir School education affordable for all families based on demonstrated financial need and availability of funds. Any boy in grades 2-6 who likes music is encouraged to apply today.
Although our per-student expenditure is on par with our peer schools (approximately $90,000 per year), we have always kept our tuition far below our costs and offered financial aid to qualified students. We are incredibly grateful to the generous donors who help ensure that this legacy can continue.
Tuition for the 2024-25 school year is $22,000. This covers all aspects of a Saint Thomas education, including room, board, extracurricular activities like private instrumental and voice lessons, and costs associated with choir tours.
For the 2023-24 school year, 77% of students received financial aid, with an average award of $13,446.
Saint Thomas Choir School uses Clarity Financial Aid to determine a family’s level of financial need based on the information that families share in the application, which includes assets, income, expenses, and debts. Families who wish to be considered are encouraged to apply by completing the Clarity application at the same time that they apply for admission. Admission is 100% need-blind, and no financial information you provide is factored into our admissions decision.
