Tuition for the 2021-22 academic year at Saint Thomas is $17,000. This covers all aspects of a Saint Thomas education, including room, board, extracurricular activities like private instrumental and voice lessons, and costs associated with choir tours.

Books are provided by the school, but families are responsible for expenses associated with purchasing school supplies. Families may also purchase uniform clothing through our supplier, Land’s End, or borrow from our clothing closet which contains all items boys typically need in a variety of sizes.

All students at Saint Thomas, whether or not they receive additional financial aid, benefit from a significantly subsidized education thanks to our generous benefactors and supporters. The actual cost of educating each boy is around $90,000.

Over a 6-year average, 74% of Saint Thomas students have received additional financial aid, averaging $9,500 per award. For the 2021-2022 school year, 85% of students received financial aid. No qualified boy is turned away due to financial need.

The financial aid application process at Saint Thomas is need-blind, and substantial additional financial aid is available to eligible applicants. Families who think they may be eligible are encouraged to apply by completing the National Association of Independent Schools, School and Student Services (NAIS SSS) Parent Financial Statement ( at the same time as they apply for admission.  Admission is 100% need-blind, and no financial information you furnish is used in our admission decision.
